Welcome and thank you for stopping by my campaign site.   My name is John Jessup and I am running for State Representative in District 53.

Because I grew up in district 53, I understand the conservative values that have made our district a great place to live and raise a family. I promise you, the voter, that I will fight for those very values.

By sending me to the legislature, I personally promise you that:

1 - I will do what’s right for us - not that which is best for a       political party.

2 - I will vote for what is in the best interest of those who live in our communities.

3 - When I cast my vote in the legislature, I will be thinking about…

       You, my elderly neighbor,

       You, the young couple who lives down the street and is just starting out,

       You, the older couple across the street just hitting retirement,

but especially...

       Our children, who live and play in our neighborhoods.

4.      I will fight to improve civics education so our children will not only understand how to be a leader but will excitedly step up to take the reigns of leadership for their generation.

My dream for tomorrow is that our children learn to love our country as well as how to fight for the ideals that make America great such as strong Families, Faith and Freedom. Our children need to once again be taught to honor and respect those that fought and died for those ideals.

My dream for tomorrow is to give my four children and their generation an Indiana that is in better shape then when I received it.

I believe the time has come to get past the negative thinking we have embraced as conservatives and as Americans that one person cannot make a difference.

I believe the time has come for each of us to take a stand and to become part of the solution in fixing what is broken in our government. I am taking that stand here today.

I look forward to getting to meet as many of you as possible!
